The new Ofma Range offers a two-colour, dual density PU sole developed by a Working Group within an R&D&I project, in agreement with the results obtained from several analyses and controls derived from this project.
Apart from the characteristics of the PU itself, we have modified and made additions to the formulation to increase its flexibility, abrasion, insulation, hydrolysis and tear characteristics as well as its resistance to hydrocarbons.
Regarding the sole injection, we have optimised the densities so that it weighs less, bends better and has greater energy absorption of the heel.
The most important point is design-related, as we have clearly improved upon the new EN ISO 20345:2007 regulation insofar as slip resistance on steel and tiles is concerned, which is why it will include SRC in the EC marking.
Other design-derived values are its important evacuation/self-cleaning, flex grooves, anti-torsion waist, anatomical arch and mounted side section in toe and heel.
